O ent\u00e3o parlamentar foi condenado no ano passado por suposto abuso de poder econ\u00f4mico na campanha eleitoral de 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Geller foi condenado pelo pr\u00f3prio TSE a oito anos de inegibilidade e tamb\u00e9m teve cassado seu mandato, que terminaria em fevereiro deste ano. Com a decis\u00e3o, ele n\u00e3o conseguiu concorrer ao cargo de senador, no ano passado.<\/p>\n<p>O julgamento do recurso ainda est\u00e1 em andamento no plen\u00e1rio virtual do TSE. Por\u00e9m, j\u00e1 h\u00e1 maioria em favor do ex-deputado. Votaram a fase da defesa os ministros Raul Ara\u00fajo (relator), Alexandre de Moraes, Andr\u00e9 Ramos, Nunes Marques e Floriano de Azevedo.<\/p>\n<p>Com a decis\u00e3o, Geller poder\u00e1 concorrer a cargos pol\u00edticos novamente.
