S\u00c3O PAULO, SP (UOL\/FOLHAPRESS) – Not\u00edcia triste para os f\u00e3s de Earth, Wind & Fire. O baterista da banda faleceu aos 67 anos no domingo (1\u00ba).<\/p>\n

A informa\u00e7\u00e3o foi confirmada por Verdine White, irm\u00e3o do m\u00fasico, que tamb\u00e9m fazia parte da banda. “Nossa fam\u00edlia est\u00e1 triste hoje com a perda de um incr\u00edvel e talentoso membro da fam\u00edlia, nosso amado irm\u00e3o Frederick Eugene ‘Freddie’ White”, escreveu ele no Instagram.<\/p>\n

“Ele se junta aos nossos irm\u00e3os Maurice, Monte e Ronald no c\u00e9u e agora toca bateria com os anjos!”, lamentou ele. Verdine n\u00e3o revelou qual foi a causa da morte de Fred.<\/p>\n

Fundada em 1960, Earth, Wind & Fire ficou famosa por misturar ritmos como jazz, soul, funk, R&B e ritmos latinos. Fred, ao lado de outros nove integrantes do grupo, foram introduzidos no Rock and Roll Hall of Fame no ano 2000.<\/p>\n

Fred tocou bateria em oito discos do grupo, incluindo alguns dos singles mais famosos do Earth, Wind & Fire, como “Saturday Night”, “Shining Star” e “Boogie Wonderland”.<\/p>\n
